Expectations from iPhone 5

iPhone 5 is presently going through Beta stages and has reached the seventh round of beta testing. The iOS 5 operating system is expected to power iPhone 5 and iPad 2. With iOS 5 nearing the end of the testing cycle, the announcement of its release is imminent.
A Major Redesign
The Apple iPhone 5 rumors are being taken to a different level this year because we didn’t see it announced at WWDC. Despite many thinking that we’d get a modest update this year, BGR is reporting that the iPhone 5 will feature a radical redesign to go along with iOS 5.0.
Many were expecting the iPhone 5 to look like the previous version but feature a dual-coreprocessor, a better camera and some other minor hardware updates. This was colloquially referred to as the iPhone 4S. The thinking was that 4G LTE technology wasn’t mature enough for Apple, so this version would have some improvements but the major changes would wait until 2012.
Whether it would be house current iPhones or the doppelganger iPhone 5. Answer? The iPhone 5 will be radical design departure. Some believe it will be thinner, or perhaps tapered. Others insist it will be wider.

A Faster Phone

Is Apple readying a faster, more powerful iPhone for the fall?An A5 chip will let the phone operate more speedily, and make it more attractive to developers looking to create more powerful games. The report of the new processor is consistent with previous rumorsregarding the phone.Apple will also likely increase the amount and quality of RAM—which always has a big impact on performance. These changes will be necessary if Apple does some of the other things we’ve been speculating about.

Better Screen and Cameras

The new operating system gives access to camera button right on your lock screen. Just double tap the home screen button and you can open the camera from the lock screen. New in-device editing options which include cropping, rotation, red-eye reduction, and a one-click enhance option have been added. Pictures can be taken using shutter button, while camera grids are available for easier and more precise photography. A pinch-to-zoom gesture along with single-tap focus and exposure reveals camera roll by swiping left and organize photos and possible panorama functionality during public release.
Apple’s Android competitors outshine the iPhone in the camera resolution and screen size department. On the latter, Apple’s retina display is smaller than many slab Android phones, but often approaches or beats them in resolution. If Apple goes with a larger screen, 8 megapixel camera and full 1080p video recording, it’ll need more horsepower to support all of them.
The bigger screen, in particular, will also demand more battery power. Apple’s been very careful about battery life (it’s why it fought so long and hard against multi-tasking) and it may have to increase battery size and capacity to support a larger retina screen.”

Voice Recognition

iPhone,’ may be a simple play on words, but may also refer to new speech-based features for the iPhone.”
Last year, Apple acquired voice-recognition application startup Siri and added some voice-to-text features to iOS 4, such as the ability to verbally order an iPhone to “call Mom” or “play more songs like this.”
So what more can there be? Siri’s mission statement may shed some light:
“Siri will improve quickly by getting to know you better and understanding a broader set of tasks. In fact, right now, Siri’s learning how to handle reminders, flights stats and reference questions,” the company said. “Our vision is that, over time, you’ll trust Siri to manage many personal details in your life – from recommending a wine you might enjoy to managing your to do list.”

4G or Not 4G?

The iOS 5 beta stages reveals that Apple is prepping for 4G network for the upcoming device, which would most probably be iPhone 5.
On the technical side, a strong case can be made that the iPhone should not support 4G. Truth is, the new 4G chipsets are still very inefficient in terms of power consumption. Recall the atrocious battery life of the iPhone when the 3G chipsets were in a similar state, and how the 3G chipsets became more power efficient over time.
“The original iPhone wasn’t anywhere good enough with battery life,”The battery life of the iPhone 4 seems acceptable. My guess is that Apple, with the use of improved chipsets, will reduce the battery size by 20 percent. Same battery life, smaller battery.”

No Shopping

Google has managed to sign up Visa for Google Wallet as well and also Google introduced Google Wallet, a technology for turning one NFC-enabled phone (the Nexus S 4G) into a wallet/credit card, there was a speculation that companies that weren’t included in the deal — such as Visa — might hook up with Apple. All Apple had to do was put an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip inside the iPhone 5 and the rest would be easy.

More Carriers

Apple now has both CDMA and GSM phones. Ubiquity is how to play the competition game. I expect Apple to welcome at least one new carrier partner to the table. My money is on Sprint (which, like Verizon, uses CDMA). T-Mobile is out. AT&T is trying to buy them and it’s clear Apple wants any part of that mess.

iPhone 4S

I do expect 4G phone, my guess is that Apple goes with Verizon and AT&T as the first two carriers. But in d end it is merely my predictions. The only thing I can guarantee is that Apple will have an event next week on Oct. 4th at 10 a.m. There will be coffee. There will be Danish. There will be an iPhone 5.
